Dreaming it.

Every amazing journey begins with a concept, ours was launched in April of 2015, during a father and son adventure vacation to the Blue Creek Nature Preserve in Belize. The idea of a Zip Line was planted after a great experience while enjoying their new Canopy Zip Line, and after our second day meeting the Owner and his Builder. During our conversation their Parks Builder asked,

“How many ziplines are in Bermuda?”, I easily replied, “None!” He responded with, Do you wanna build one!

It was right then and there that we decided, let’s introduce Bermuda to its very first true Aerial Zip Line Adventure Experience.

In May, the Escape from Devils Isle, Canopy Zip Line concept was born.

And since numerous tourists to Bermuda had been asking us almost daily where they could go Zip Lining the addition of is new Adventure made perfect sense!!!

Building it.

Selecting the right Location has always been critical. Choosing Southlands Park helps showcase this Hidden Gem, with its very own beach, along with its mature forest and amazing canopy as well as its many trails for visitors to go exploring, it provides the best location for this amazing adventure.

We wanted the right atmosphere and to provide the best experience for everyone’s enjoyment.

But, First came the education on Zip Lines, to do so we joined the Association of Challenge Course Technology International, becoming a member in 2017.

This knowledge has helped guide us, leading us to receiving our Approval in Principle on April 25th, 2022. We then became a registered company and had a Builders Site Survey and Design done. Once these were approved we started on our way!

Growing it.

As with starting any major project worth doing, this aerial adventure has gone through various phases of Government and Design approvals.

As we await our final Planning Approvals were looking forward to starting our Renovations of the Dapples Building and the install and building of the Four courses and meeting the ACCT Commissioning and Certifications Standards required to open.

During the building phase is when all of our initial staff will receive their ACCT accreditation.

Once these final steps are completed we expect to open our Doors soon after! One critical element that’s missing is: You, the Adventure Seeker!

We are offering a chance for everyone to be a part of this! As a Retired US Navy Special Warfare Operations Veteran, I have proven the fortitude time and again that’s been required to aim for the long haul. No mission is ever completed without a strong support team backing the forward operators, those who believe in the mission and its success..

Imagine, Bermuda’s very First Aerial Zip Line Adventure, geared to be inclusive for all ages and level’s on our isle’s supporting our local schools, residents and the numerous Cruise Ship and visitors who thrive on Adventure..

We know we can capture up to 30,000 of the island’s roughly 600,000 visitors each year.

We are intent on this benefiting Bermuda. Zip Lines are globally a big draw. EDI will be hiring locally and supporting our community as well as selected Youth Programs and various Non Profit Organizations. We are looking forward to hosting our local schools, providing STEM programs, hosting families and providing Team Building experiences for our Local businesses and Hotel guest.

We will operate Four Zip Line Courses, These include, Escape from Devils Isle, for ages 10 and up, Tree Frogs Adventure for those ages 4 and above so families can share quality time together, the Bermuda Triangle Challenge, for those who desire to test their skills and the Longtails Flight!!.
